1. Prepare an Excel® spreadsheet containing the following:

  • Column 1 – selected state counties
  • Column 2 – population 2010
  • Columns 3 and beyond – values of selected variables

Calculate the state’s mean and standard deviation for your selected variables. (state of Georgia)                        

Construct a frequency table and histogram for your selected variables.

Calculate the mode and median for your selected variables.        

2. Prepare a Word document in which you explain normality of the distribution and assess the importance. 

These are the two things that needs to be submitted.

  • Word document (2-3 pages) with results in table, graphs, and explanation

Compare your selected state’s information from the above work with the data for the United States (USA) using percentages.  Select a hypothesis testing method to determine whether the difference between state and USA data is significant or not.  Explain your methods of selection.
