Class, the discussion on mean, mode, and median sets us up nicely for our pending lesson on distributions and statistical analysis. We’ll be essentially modeling a postulated theory on what we expect to occur under given conditions. The key to a successful model (or determining the most likely outcome) is to understand the behavior of the group population. Central Tendecny helps us describe those conditions or attributes as a first step as we examine the degree of outliers or how the distribution behaves under certain conditions. Does this make sense?
