Numerical Measures
- create a research question with at least two variables. Rewrite your research question here. List your two variables. For each of your variables, also create (invent) and list a small set of data that could represent that variable.
- For both variables, using the data you invented, calculate the measures of center (mean, median, and mode) and the measures of variance (range, variance, and standard deviation). Include the results and any work. (You are welcome to use Excel).
- Think about what these measures tell you about your data. Use these values to describe your data in words. For example, is your data skewed and how do you know? Which variable has the greater variation?
- In your daily life or career, which of these measure do you use? Choose one and give an example.
This is not an essay or a paper this is a discussion each question needs to be 1 to paragraphs long. IT MUST be in text cited and referenced. Must be plagiarism free and grammar needs to be understandable and free of errors.
