Statistics Article Analysis – PLEASE BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN STATISTICS

Introduction

You have seen a lot of statistic and statistical techniques. This week, your problem of the week is to analyze another scholarly and quantitatively-based article of your choice to demonstrate your application of the concepts of the class. You can read research! (Feel free to mimic the manner of presentation given in the paper to your project presentation, due next week.)

Activity Instructions
Locate another scholarly article (different from Week 3) of your choice based upon major or some interest of yours, preferably related to your upcoming project presentation which is Annual Pizza Consumption in the U.S. Read the article and address the following:

  • Describe the type of statistical test that was done and why that was the appropriate test for this study.
  • List and describe alpha for one statistical test in this study.
  • List the p-value.
  • Explain why/why not the p-value is statistically significant, and how you know.
  • List five other statistical facts that we have studied this semester that are mentioned in the article. Explain what each of your chosen facts mean within the context of this study.
  • Highlight the p-value and factoids.
  • Upload the highlighted article with your analysis.
